  • The Malta Chamber of Commerce 64 Republic Street Valletta Malta (map)

The Malta Chamber and the Malta Business Bureau, in collaboration with the General Workers Union, are organising a business seminar entitled ‘The Ripple Effect of AI’ as part of the TransformWork Project, which aims to promote a discussion on different aspects of digitalization at the workplace. Artificial Intelligence plays an important role in making business operations more efficient, but it does not come without potential impact on workers. During this event, we will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence at the workplace and learn more about the recent EU legislative initiatives in the field of AI. A discussion will follow with social partners and experts in the field of AI.

UMNAI’s Angelo Dalli will be giving a talk titled “Navigating Opportunities and Risks in Business” where he will be explaining the risks posed by the use of AI to businesses and society, and how UMNAI’s fully-explainable Hybrid Intelligence AI framework can help mitigate these risks. As a technology expert, Angelo will also be elaborating on the impact of AI on the workforce and the skills that will be needed for organisations and individuals to take full advantage of this technology. Finally, as the EU and other jurisdictions seek to legislate the balance between efficiency gains from with AI and the protection of society, Angelo will also be highlighting the upcoming legislation and its implications to industry at large.
